Top 5 Bath Books

As the colder months approach I find myself indulging myself in luxury of a bath and what better compliments a bath than a book? So here are 5 of the many books I read last winter, in the bath, that you might feel would accompany you greatly whilst you relax in your bubble bath.

Looking for Alaska

I love John Green, I think his work is phenomenal as he really captures the emotion of characters in a deep felt way yet he also incorporates quality humour into his work. Two things I think make a great book. This novel was no different; filled with teenage emotion, curiosity and drama 'Looking for Alaska' is a gripping book. The hints of mystery keep you intrigued and the teenage mishaps will make you smile. Defiantly a book to read if these sound appealing to you.

P.S I Love You

Most people who hear this title think of the film and I think I am one of the few romance lovers who have not seen the film, but I have read the book. This tale is both tragic and beautiful; tragic as she lost her loving husband yet beautiful due to magic of love. I found this book lovely as we got to follow the journey of Holly through her grieving process which then led to a lot of emotional and heart felt moments. Perfect book if you love a romance.

Message in a Bottle

Nicholas Sparks is the man to go to when you want a romance; he never fails to make me weep, smile and laugh all in one book. He has a certain flare when it comes to romance that always is different to other yet a beautiful love story nonetheless. This particular book make you want to camp out on a beach for hours on end just waiting for a message in a bottle just so you too can experience the beauty of this particular love story.

Wildflower Hill

This dual timeline story will leave a everlasting impression on you; the characters are so well thought out that there personality traits come through with every detail and the storyline is so interesting. The contrasting generations displayed in this book are so well told that the effect it has on Emma effects us to as a reader. This tale is fantastic at showing how the actions of triumph and courageousness have an ever lasting effect. If you are a historical fiction lover you wouldn't want to  miss this one.

Chicken Noodle Soup for the Teenage Soul

If you are not a huge book reader, have no fear I something perfect for you! This inspiring book filled with stories, poems and advice will help you in whatever situation you find yourself in. The 'Chicken Soup' series have produced a wide range of book aimed at many specific audiences which contain anecdotes, poems and advice straight from the public themselves. I find it so relieving to hear that someone has one through something similar to me or has felt the same way as me. This book is great if you need a little pick me up or advice and what better place to read this than in the bath?

I hope you have found a new book to read in the bath, and I would love to hear what your favourite bath books are.
Until next time,
Jenn
