Grafea BackPack Review

I am the kind of person who when had money in their pocket would spend it at any given moment. My dad used to even say 'You could spend money in a desert, you could'; he's probably right. However I was determined to make a change and set the challenge of saving up for something I really really wanted... And I did it.

Grafea Hari Leather Backpack 'LAVENDER'

I was casually browsing the internet when I came across this little beauty and I knew I had to make her mine (typical love story really). However there was a tiny complication; the price. This backpack is £180. I know, I know but if it makes you happy why not eh? So I saved, saying no many beautiful items of clothing, stunning shoes and magnificent makeup.

The way I justified buying this backpack was that I knew I'd get a lot of use out of it:

1. I don't typically wear colour or own much colour within my wardrobe so this colour will no doubt go with all my monochrome pieces of clothing.

2. I prefer backpacks over any other bags because they are just so much more convenient as your hands will be free. However I found it hard to find a cute backpack that I could use for everyday use as all I could find were ones that where typically used for school.

3. Finally it's just so pretty that why wouldn't I want to use it.

So for those who may be contemplating whether to buy one of these little beauties I have a review all lined up for you.

Size: The dimensions are said to be H31.0 x W35.0 x D14.0 (cm) H12.2" x W13.7" x D5.5" (inches). Put into context, however, I would say you are able to fit a 13" laptop inside as well as binders however not larger items such as leaver-arch files.

Outside: There are a total of 4 pockets excluding the main compartment: 1 at the front, 2 on either side of the bag and 1 at the back of the bag. The 3 at the front and on the sides have a buckle mechanism whereas the back pocket uses a zip. The pockets aren't that big and mainly have a purpose to carry the items you don't want to rummage around for.

Inside: The inside of the bag does not contain any pockets and is just one big w
hole; so if you like to have a sense of organisation in you bag I would invest in one of those bag organisers. The lining is almost suede like and wouldn't be easy to clean if you spilt something or if a pen leaked so I would careful with what you put directly inside the bag. There is also a drawstring around the perimeter of the bag so you can tighten the bag for security if you wished to.

Colour: The colour is very pigmented but I have been told that over time the colour will change in a fashionably worn kind of way. However I think that that will happen when the bag has been worn far too many times.

Sturdiness: The bag is very sturdy which is probably due to the fact that it's made from leather. Also the stitching looks very precise and crafted so much so there has been no fraying or loose threads . Furthermore the silver hardware is very durable as it has a bit of weight to it and does't seem to scratch very easily as I am clumsy therefore always bashing into things yet there has been no damage made.

Convenience: It is convenient if you need to carry things as well as needing to use your hands and if you are out and you need to be sure that no one can have easy access to your stuff. However if your ringing phone was tucked away inside then that may be a struggle to access due to the buckles.

Comfort: The bag sits comfortably on my back and there is nothing digging into my shoulders or poking my back. The straps are equipped with shoulder 'pads'. They do not have padding in them however they do supply some comfort as they prevent the strap from irritatingly digging into your shoulder.

If you want to get an idea to what the bag can hold, this is what I typically carry around yet as I have said previously it can carry around laptops and folders if needed to.

Until next time,
Jenn

All items were purchased by myself or gifts from friends and family for birthdays /christmas and I am thankful for that. Also all opinions are my own and I have not been influenced nor told to say what I have said.

    1. Hello,
I chose the colour because lilac is my favourite colour as well as because I don't any handbags in this colour. I find that the colour is vibrant and very new looking when you get however over time it does mature (as leather should) yet it is never dirty.
      Hope that helps
